Hello everybody!

I have been trying to post a blog for...um...months. lol Luckily, the staff at TheOneLove helped me out and fixed the problem. Thanks guys and gals! :-D

Anywho, what do I want to say?

Recently, I have started my own promotional company. Some people already know about it. But, others do not. It is a company dedicated to the entertainment and fashion industry. A lot has been going on. Besides my internship and running the company (that I started without any money by the way), I also started school in July. I am going back for my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Once I am done with that, I will go back for a Marketing Degree. On top of all that, I am job hunting. Gotta have the money for the bills. I am hoping to promote full-time. But, it is hard to find people who are actually willing to pay in this economy.

There are other things going on. But, I will save that for next time. :-)

It's simple, I chose RAINN because it seems to be a taboo subject. People hear and/or see the word, rape and they cringe. I'm sure some of you have just done the same reading this. Even if I soften the blow and say "sexual assault", it does not change the reaction. It is a graphic and heartless subject.

The fact is, IT HAPPENS!! Whether you are male or female, it happens. It is time someone spoke up about it.

I have known people who have lost their innocence over something they could not control. I had a friend in high school who, when she was in middle school, had this happen to her. Her boyfriend locked the door so she could lot leave his room. Another one of my friends in high school had a story to tell of one of her friends who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. The list goes on.

Whether you know them or not, sexual assault DOES happen and we need to stop ignoring it.

Forgive me for not posting sooner. I have been trying to blog for about a month now. Luckily, the awesome people at TheOneLove were able to help me out. THANK YOU!! :-D

This blog is just an introduction. I will post another blog later about why RAINN is my charity of choice. So, stay tuned....

First off, my name is Amanda. If any of you followed me from myspace, you might know me as AmandaG. I am a 25 year old from Austin, TX. I love music! It is my life. Literally!! I basically grew up with it. So, I know how it is.

As far as what I do for a living. Right now, I am a data transcriber (entry). Where? I can't say. Seriously, I signed a paper when I started working there. lol I am also an Intern for a production company based in NYC. Aside from that, I am also involved in many Street Teams. Whether I lead, co-lead or am just a member. I am apart of several.

More things are coming as far as work and what not. I will blog about that at a later date.
