i dont know what to title my blog...
anyway, peranakan food is AWESOME. i need to find a good peranakan restaurant in singapore! i didnt get to eat chicken rice balls though. heard it's supposed to be good.
the malacca trip was rather fun.. not because of the museums and marathon-like walk for 4 hours, but because of the class. it was our last time being 2E together and i think it was pretty well spent. :) i remember how i used to hate 2E but slowly grew to like it. it was fun on the second day where all of us wore our class tees. we were probably the only class that had everyone wearing it.
i will remember the cheng ho museum for as long as i live. everyone was so tired from a whole day of "touring" and it was 8pm when we reached the museum. we were all sweaty/dirty/smelly.. and i was "floating" around the museum. it looks really small, but it's damn big.
when we reached the hotel at 10, everyone was doing "rituals" before stepping into the hotel rooms. like ringing the doorbell, knocking on the door, talking to whoever is inside the room before stepping in with our left foot. it was probably only an hour later that there was chaos. people were screaming and running from room to room. girls were'nt allowed in guys rooms(and vice versa) but no one seemed to care... people started calling other people's rooms and burping into the phone... my friend and i were bored so we decided to explore the hotel.. we went to the 9th floor which is where the swimming pool is supposed to be.. neither of us expected the lift doors to open to some pitch black level where we couldnt see anything... that was scary.
the kampong walk was pretty fun, though it was tiring. we saw cute kampong chickens running around. we made our own batik which was interesting. then there was rubber tapping.. mosquitoes flying everywhere. almost everyone got bitten but i didnt. thank goodness. then there was silat and top spinning. the top spinning looked pretty fun but i didnt try it. we made ketupats(?) after that.. i got lost after the first step. then we played congkak(?) congklak (?). i know it as mancala on the internet...
so that was my malacca trip. it's a long post. i think most people have fallen asleep by now.
genting on mondaaaaaaay! yes! so excited. can't wait to find out what will happen to me when i walk to school and climb up the stairs with a luggage, a bag and my instrument.
im going for disney live tonight! yay. i feel like a five year old kid.. not that fourteen is old anyway. i love disney classics! :)
