Oh, She's Just Being Miley.
April 10, 2009
This post is brought to you by Miley Cyrus's performance last weekend on the ACM Awards, and Hans the Yodeler from The Price is Right:

If you know me...you know that pop music is my life, and I will constantly return to my 13-year-old self. I don't claim to be "perpetually 12-years-old" anymore...but it comes out often :)
Today, Jade and I went to the movie theatre near my house on a tip that there would be a red carpet movie premiere for the Hannah Montana movie. Steve Rushton anyone??? I am a HUGE Hannah Montana/Miley/Disney Channel fan...so I was all about it when Jade kidnapped me from work to go be a part of this!
We went to the parking garage, and half of it was blocked off for "Red Carpet Valet Parking" (as noted by the crooked printed-out paper signs). Jade went the wrong way, and a security guy told her to park around the corner. So we did. We were maybe 5 spaces away from the red carpet, and there were only 10 or so people besides press/news, so we just assumed no one knew about this red carpet event...
We stood beside the press and news section and awaited the arrivals of the stars! ...which never happened.
Well. That's not true. They had already happened before we got there and pretended to be press without realizing it. Miley came through, and it was strangely quiet. Then she stepped out from under the garage, onto the red carpet, and screams came from above us.
It looks like before we got there, security must have corralled all of the fans in the upper levels of the garage. Hmm. Odd.
So I took a couple of cell phone pictures, and watched Miley and Billy Ray do some interviews. Then it was over.
So we missed all of the other celeb arrivals (I had heard of a few local/country celebs that were supposed to be there, and it looked like there was no one there to see the movie at all by the time we got there hahaha) - but all in all, it was a hilarious event, and very very funny moment in time. I imagine my 13-year-old self freaking out at the mere THOUGHT of standing on a sidewalk at the local movie theatre and seeing something like that. I'm glad I can't go back in time to tell myself that it's really not as exciting as it seemed to me back then...
I'm seeing the movie tomorrow night at 7:30pm, if you're in Nashville come on out!!!
Maybe Miley will show up really awkwardly...
Anyway. After the red carpet, Jade and Cassie and I got pizza at Mellow Mushroom. My pizza had nasty broccoli woccoli on it. I'm usually ALLLLL about the broccoli. So I was quite upset.
After after that, I showed off my new office to Jade, laughed at old country merchandise, and bugged my friend Kami who was still at the office for some unknown reason (???). Then we ventured to Whole Foods to get David Cookies (for our David Cook trip on SATURDAY!), and Pirate's Booty...just because I'm addicted to it, and it's on sale this week.
Then Jade and Cassie came to my house so Jade could catch up on American Idol (which I tape every week. On a VCR...). Jade screamed through the whole thing, and watched, and re-watched EVERY ADAM LAMBERT THING EVER. it was hilarious. GLAMBERTSSSSSS!
We're going to watch Spectacular sometime soon. Cassie and I watched it last night, and it was Spectacular. We're also going to watch the Bollywood version of High School Musical too. I'm excited.
The Russell Brand/Letterman interview re-aired tonight. I need to finish My Booky Wook.
One more day of work, then it's David Cook day, then it is and Easter time! He is risen!!!
And I leave you with this...

because he lives in Nashville, silly! You need to come visit again so I can take you on the Homes of the Stars tour. We're going to make maps so Nashville can be more like Hollywood. Then we're going to sell them on the streets during Fan Fair.
