Food Blog: Vampire Bite Cookies, Thumbprints, and Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies!
February 22, 2009
So I've been baking a lot recently, so I decided to share with you all.
I can't give you any, since you're not in Nashville... but I took pictures to show you.
If you'd like the recipe for any of these, let me know.
I shot these pictures with my friend Vicky's Canon Rebel.
First up... my Vampire Bite Cookies:
They are pretty delicious. They are a shortbread cookie, filled with strawberry jam. You have to poke holes in the top of them to give the illusion that they've been bit by vampires... quite adorable for all of you Vampire Literature fans out there.
I had some leftover dough from the Vampire Bite cookies, so I decided to make thumbprints out of them.
The thumbprints:
For the thumbprints, all you do is roll up little balls of shortbread dough, and push your thumb down in the middle of them, and fill them with jam... really simple.
Last of the cookie bunch would be my infamous Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies. They've been described by some as "your favorite celebrity, in a cookie."
The Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies:
They're quite delicious... I make them with milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
Peace, ♥, & Cookies,
Cathy
