snowy day...

March 02, 2009

Today is my birthday. I am snowed in. Good thing i did some celebrating Saturday night!

I'm going to start doing "a few of my favorite things" segment, starting with this entry. You guys can agree or disagree with me in the comments! :) Here we go:

See This:

This movie was super cute! The book was really good, and I was so excited to finally see the movie when it came out on DVD. (I was really busy when it was in theaters so missed it there.) And how can you not love Michael Cera?! ha. :)

Eat This:

I tried these on a whim last time I was food shopping. I got the berry ones, unsure of how they'd shape up. Let me tell you, they are amazing! And at only 100 calories a pack, they pack some serious flavor! They remind me of a pastry, and even though I don't like pastries, I love these!

Listen To This:

I saw him in Boston Friday night and he was EXCELLENT. I had seen him a few times before, but only at radio shows so never a full set. Not to mention he's such a sweetie. We met him after the show and he made sure to shake every single persons hand there and tell them it was nice to meet them. His latest CD is really great. It has mostly up-tempo, fun songs. Totally worth buying and/or downloading (ITUNES, people! ha.) Some of my favorite tracks are "It's Over" and "Runnin'".

Now, lets chat about these things via comments. :) Do it. <3

PS - I changed my charity that I support as raising money for Diabetes is super important to me. Many family members and friends have it, so it hits home majorly. Please visit my blog often to read my favorite things segments and leave comments, as raising for that cause really means a lot to me. :)

it's been a while!

February 25, 2009

Sorry I haven't been true to this blog, I've been super busy and then had to figure out my login again!

Anyway, lots has happened with me since I last blogged. I've been on tour most weekends doing merch for a band, and it's a ton of fun! I also got promoted with Island Records and I now run not only my homestate of Massachusetts, but I also run the Northeast Territory now for the street team. (From Connecticut up to Maine). I'm so excited! Monday I worked a Hoobastank meet and greet for them then went to their show at the new House of Blues in Boston. It looks amazing inside!

Anyway, enough rambling for one day. I'm trying to get on a summer tour now. Any suggestions? :) How ahve you all been?!

A few useless ramblings...

Do you ever feel like there's not enough time in the day?

That's how i feel lately, it kind of stinks!

I can't wait to go on tour again this weekend, it's my escape from reality. I love being a merch girl and photographer!

What's your sweet escape? I'd love to hear from you guys and get to know you by knowing something like that! :)

Until next time...

Who are you, what are you living for?

October 08, 2008

Hey hey!

I want to start off by thanking Cassie for welcoming me with open arms to The One Love, and I also want to thank Caroline for suggesting that I blog for a cause! Since I seem to be the newest blogger here, I figure my first entry should be an introductory blog.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. It's the only thing I feel I can do whole hearted and passionately one-hundred percent. My area of expertise at this moment in my life is promotions, really. For a year now I have run my states part of a major record labels street team, and I just started working with a local band on grass roots promotion. I am actually touring with them right now (although it's mostly on weekends) as their merch girl as well as their road photographer, and once they have more of a fanbase built up, I am set up to run their street team.

What can I say? I live, breathe, work, sleep music. Which is what led me to here. I want to share my touring and promotional experiences and my feelings behind it all here. After all, that's what blogs are for, right? Stay tuned, and I look forward to blogging with all you amazing people! :)

One more thing before I go, although I'm probably boring you with this little intro, I want to talk about why i chose the organization that I did to support. The Make a Wish Foundation has been helping children who have life threatening illnesses to make their wishes (and dreams) come true, and I'm sure they touch those kids like no one has before with the things that they make happen. I could only hope that I can find a way someday to touch people the way that organizations like that reach those kids! Everyone needs a little hope and joy in their lives. :)

Oh and by the way, happy belated birthday The One Love!
