Isaac and England [part 3]
March 05, 2009
So in certain places you have to pay about 50 American cents to use the bathroom, toilet or luu as some like to call it.
I really had to go and you think after paying money to use the bathroom it would be clean or something, but nope, I still had to go to each stall and pick the one I liked the best. But after paying money to use the luu I decided to wash my hands to get my monies worth.
So this may be a good time to explain the Ultra Violet Sound situation. I am on tour in the UK with a band called Ultra Violet Sound. I got here Saturday and they flew in on Sunday, they got rejected at the border and had to fly back home immediately after arriving for the lack of work permits. I was going to be rejected for the same thing but I was super nice to the lady before this topic of papers even came up. Neither I or the band knew that we needed these papers. So right now I am on the bus with the other bands that I haven't met before and I certainly feel like the tour's nerd friend that the tour's mom made them invite. I would say I am pretty good at connecting with people and fitting in quickly but this is a tough group, we are all polite to each other but unfortunately I don't see many friendships forming, not until UVS gets here at least. I did make a few friends though.
I moved to Atlanta about four weeks before I left for this tour, that was the very first time I have ever moved in my life and I just was starting to make friends in Atlanta then I had to leave for Europe.
So what I learned today is that if you move out of your very first and only home that you grew up in, and start feeling homesick, leaving the country to tour doesn't help the homesickness.
your friend,
-Isaac
