i can't stand this any more

hey everybody!

so i apologize for my intense lack of blogs over the past couple months. i suck. i know!

i hope all of you are alive and well. we have just wrapped up our new record which comes out JUNE 24TH!!! amen. i am super excited about this album... it's been a long process and we all feel that God definetley showed our band so much during this recording process and we are so excited to see what the people think of the new songs. 

i'm totally gonna be that guy and paste a recent blog i posted on my myspace (myspace.com/nickdepartee) cuz it's def some o fwhat God has been teaching me over the past few months and i'd like to share it with all of you.

i hope all is well with you guys and please keep our band in prayer as we release this record and see what God has in the future... we want to be focused and driven by Him as we move forward with the release and tours etc. Anything i can pray for you guys about?

Funny how God works.....

i find it funny how God moves in our lives. by funny i mean amazing.

i find myself questioning Gods ways so often, yet every time i submit myself to His will when i look back at past times of trials or rough times through my life, it always makes so much sense in the end.... yet every day i seem to find myself trying to take my life solely into my hands..... all God wants is for us to cast our cares upon Him, and let him take our burdens.... funny how illogical that is that we wouldn't JUMP at the chance for the creator of the universe to take our worries, and burdens from our shoulders, we'd rather trudge through life on the small amount of power we think we have. 

my prayer tonight is that every ounce of who i am would breath God in and in turn my life would be an exhalation of His love in everything i do and say..... God is grace..... and i am undeserving of his blessings in my life.... 

may we draw ever closer to him.

hey everybody,

long time no blog. i apologize. so we are on tour right now for an acoustic tour we started about a week or so ago.... it's going well... kind of a slow tour but definetly been a good challenge for all of us.... had alot of free time with which God has been convicting me to spend more time with him. I have def. been failing most of the time with carrying that conviction to fruition, but the days i have dug into the word, God has been teaching me such awesome, simple, yet eye opening truths about myself and my life.... Lots of changes the past year or so for me in my life, but i am so blessed and grateful for the opportunities He has brought me. 

Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone, and encourage all of you to be seeking God... im learning slowly how important it is and how amazing it is to be in the silence with him.... giving him the time he so deserves.

Hey everybody,

just wanted to stop in real quick and let you guys know some rad news baout our band... We are headed to London, England on monday afternoon to record strings for our new record which is supposed to hit stores this summer.... We are so blessed to have this opportunity and we can't wait to hear these people play strings on the music.... God is good. We will also be doing our photo shoot for the record while in London.... Please pray for safe travel and a smooth trip overall... We will be headed back to the states to rehearse and begin our Acoustic Tour which begins first week of march.....How was everyone's week? anything fun goin on this weekend?

well, another week ahead of us.... my goal this week is to take it one day at a time.... been learning that lesson lately... i continue to worry so much about the future, about what will be coming around the corner and catching me off guard and out of position to handle it... when we are called to worry about today for tomorrow has worries of it's own.

not sure about you guys, but i feel so overwhelmed with life sometimes. yet God is outside ALL of this, and wants only the best for each of our lives, but we have to be willing to let Him guide every step and trust Him with every breath we take. Much easier said than done : )

so that is my challenge to all of us, mainly myself, that we might thank God for every breath and take life one day, one problem, one stress, on moment at a time. lemme know how your weeks unfold.
