BLOG TIME!

I must say, i wish there were more opportunities like this for people to do simple things like typing this blog and in turn help out oganizations and charities all over the world with funding to continue moving forward in what God has called them to do. 

i love the one love!

So i'l take this time to introduce myself.... my name is Nick dePartee i play in the band Kutless. I love music, art, people, and the combination of all three. I believe music is a language.... with it we can speak to people all over the world and share our passion with them.... and more importantly, we can share God's love with those who may never step foot in a church. I don't believe we are called to cram bibles down people's throats, or solely preach words to people from a stage only to walk away after the show. I believe we are called to live out God's love. Words have no meaning without a following action. a loving action speaks louder than a recited word. and i believe music is a voice that when combined with action can have an impact so deep in our lives, it cannot be described in words. 

For this reason and more, i chose TWLOHA (To Write Love On Her Arms) as my organization for this blog. If you haven't heard of them or know what those shirts that you see EVERYWHERE mean. Check out their website here http://www.twloha.org

It is an amazing organization founded on love in action. Please take the time to read the story behind the organization as it is so impacting it's unreal.
