it's been a while :]] I'm nearing the end of this semester...thank goodness. I've got about a thousand and a half papers and projects, but I can't wait for winter break. I really need three weeks of no school-related stress.  I'm really starting to enjoy my major. super excited to go to sevilla in the fall. crazy excited to see seabird tomorrow at musica too :]] love the venue, LOVE the band. x3

anyway, reason for writing this: my future husband [in my dreams] joshua olds is in the hospital. please pray for him. i know i have been. he's the bassist for family force 5 and the love of my life ;]

anyway, hopefully i'll be writing some more on this. it's really been forever.

Ok, so this is only like 2 months late and i'm sure some of the story will get jumbled...but it's all true. promise. :]] ANYWAY...ap tour 2009...last show in cleveland...INCREDIBLE. So, let's start at the beginning. Deanna and I left from columbus...I dropped her off at her place, and I continued on to canal fulton to Lauren's house. She was already asleep when I got there, but she had made up a little bed for me and so i passed out like whoa. then we woke up in the morning, got ready, mel showed up, and we left for cleveland. we got there and there was absolutely no one at the house of blues so we went to tower city to get some food. we hung out there for a while then went back...still dead. and INCREDIBLY windy. like seriously, it was impossible to stand still. we interviewed random people like kool wit a k and the guy who loved lesbians waaaay too much.  we talked to the trash man too and told us that if us crazy girls needed to use the bathroom we should go to the arcade [actually a hotel that looks like the titanic] across the street, so lauren went. then the busses showed up :]] mel was all like "hey guys...what's that?" and i was like "yea...those are the boys". then some cool kids showed up to wait in line with us. then it happened :]] I got a twitter update from @SoulGlowActivtr saying something about how the show tonight should be amazing...so i tweeted [?] back and said that yes, it would be amazing, but it was soooooo windy out in line. so, 5 minutes later or so, i see him standing on the corner. I'm sort of silently freaking out but i said something about that being him...but mel [who didn't really know who he was] wasn't paying attention because as he comes closer she says "hey, we should interview fabio over there" to which i respond to with "that's soul glow!" so, i jump up and ask to get a picture with him and he's all like "ummm...can i get a picture with you?!" it was awesome...he had a mexican coke and a cookie and he was talking to us about how he had a bunch of chunks of his cookie in his mexican coke. then he mentioned that he had never really gotten to explore downtown cleveland so we told him a few places that he should hit up, like the arcade. so he's all like "let's go" and we're like "what?" "let's go" "now?" "yea. come on" so, we went on an adventure with solomon olds in cleveland. it was so incredible. then we got back and blah blah blah waited in line, went to the other side of the building to wait in line so we could get in earlier, made a bunch more friends...played uno...the entire tour walked behind us while we were playing uno...AWESOME. stalked the entire tour while they were in a restaurant...anyway, we got in and lauren and mel still hadn't gotten their tickets because I won them from 3oh!3 so we had to wait at the box office forever...where we met pampan who apparently was bff's with the maine and promised us a backstage pass [she never even got in, i don't believe] anywayyy....waited, waited, waited, finally got in. got right up front. stayed there for a rocket to the moon. awesome pranks....we left because it was so crazy. i was killing a bunch of 13 year olds and i really didn't feel like being that aggressive so we went up into the balcony. had a blast :]] i'm sure there are a lot of details that i would have included had i done this 2 months ago...but alas, it's july and i just don't feel like it :]]

Just seeing those words again makes me all giddy. :]] Well, it's been well over a month since my last blog and it's been almost two weeks since the shows at the newport and cleveland house of blues.  Easily the greatest concert lineup ever, but we'll start at the very beginning.  Thursday night, I made my way to Canton to spend the evening with Deanna, listening to family force 5 all night, of course.  Then at approximately 6 the next morning, we set off for columbus.  I had 3 heart attacks on the way down because of course, I was speeding, but I looked in my mirror and there was a cop right behind me. Three times. How does that happen? But, i'm not complaining because I didn't get pulled over. :]  Anyway, we drive past the newport, looking for a place to park, and are delighted to see that we were the first ones to arrive. Of course, by the time we figured out where to park and such, there were a few people that beat us there....but whatever. So, we're chillin at the entrance to chipotle drinking our morning rockstars...just waiting. Then, the busses passed. Though I was feeling incredibly sick [probably because of the morning rockstar], I was so excited.  Then Nat and Kam from 3oh!3 walked past. I was psyched, but kinda angry at the same time because my goal for the day was to get a picture with sean. Then, we saw soul glow and crouton, then fatty. Then, I'm pretty sure every member of the maine went into chipotle. We also saw poor Chapstique hobbling along on his crutches. I was really content just watching these lovely people walk past. Then it happened. Something was going on at the front of the line and everyone else was curious as to what was going on...then I heard it. "The other half of 3oh!3 is up there." I FLIPPED. I stood up and begged deanna to go up there with me, as she refused to stand up and put her burrito down.  I looked up, and there he was...sean foreman.  Super cool, i was like "hey can i get a picture with you?" and then bam. he was gone, into chipotle, and no one even knew what happened. Not too long after that, we got let in. Deanna and I managed to make it to the front, only to leave as soon as we got the clues as to how to get the vip passes.  We found crouton as soon as he was giving them away. figures. anyway, i'm glad it happened because then deanna and i joined hannah and chelsie up on the balcony and we had a blast. first: a rocket to the moon. second: hit the lights. third: THE MAINE. i love these boys. the first time i ever heard them, i was being harrassed by a hot topic employee. ashley and i were just buying random crap before warped tour the next day and this dude would not let us leave until we listened to this new band. i forgot about them for a while, but started listening to them in order to prepare myself for the show. and now i'm in love :]] anyway, as soon as john ohh and the boys were done, i lost it. i can't even describe how i was because i was hyperventilating. I was so excited to see 3oh!3. anyway, hannah and chelsie left us to go on the floor so that hannah didn't kill the girl she was standing next to. deanna and i had a blast going nuts to 3oh!3. i danced so much that night, it was crazy. anyway, when hannah and chelsie returned, just before ff5, they said that we were the only people dancing in the balcony...i still feel really proud of that. :D then family force 5 came out. and I, once again, lost it. it was so incredible. I couldn't have asked for a better show.   That's a lie. They didn't play kountry gentlemen. But, still, it was incredible and I wish I could experience it again x1000. People are crazy. Like, for real. This week is driving me insane, I'm not sure if I can make it through the rest of this semester without losing it.  What's getting me through right now is that the AP tour is well underway and the AP tour means the end of school.  The sooner I get through the rest of the year, the sooner I get to rock my face off. yes.

Anyone else see the irony in the fact that thinking of the AP tour is calming me down?

this is absolutely THE LAST thing i should be doing right now. I have a paper to write for tomorrow. I'm at work. I have spanish lit homework to finish. I have regular spanish homework to finish. I have another paper that (I think?) may be due tuesday.

.....that being said, i'm doing it anyway.

first off, my niece who had the hip problem got off of her crutches yesterday and the doctor says she's doing perfectly fine :]] excellent news

secondly, it's raining. a lot a lot. this wouldn't be that bad...but there are worms ALL OVER the sidewalks and i hate it. it's disgustingly nasty. i constantly have to walk with my head down to avoid getting worm guts all over my shoes. sick, right?

on a completely different note: I find it completely amazing how fast life can become just so much bigger and how one thing can just make everything else seem so trivial. I'm not going to continue on with this thought because it's a huge deal. that's it. *insert blog's title here.*

so...last night was the very first night of the ap tour and i can't believe how excited i am. :] it would just figure that i have to wait until the two last nights of the tour to experience it's epicness...but i'm guessing it will be worth it. I was driving down the road today with my nieces and a family force 5 song came up on my ipod and i almost had to pull over because i was SO excited. it's wierd to think that it's been 6 months since i've seen family force 5 in concert. last year, at the most, there were only 2 months between each of the concerts i attended. :]]

I'm also really psyched to see 3oh!3 live. I saw them from afar at warped tour this past year, but i wasn't really that in to them at the time.

well, i'm gonna go watch made of honor. hope it's not a complete suckfest.

I am absolutely floored by the amazing ways of God.  I can't get over his awesomeness and [dare I say] fearitude?

Tonight was celebration. Amazing thing 1: when you're looking in the crowd for someone and they're already looking at you.

Amazing thing 2: I have never participated in an altar call-type thing, but I really felt tonight that I needed to do so. Me being me, I WAS NOT about to go by myself. that's just who I am. then, a friend [well, more of a friend of my roommates, rather than me] grabbed my hand and just said let's go.

I'm just in such awe that I can't construct sentences.

It's just mind-blowing.

I've been thinking a lot lately about a world without love. Not sure why. At first I was like "oh. sweet. no more heartbreak" but then when i really began to think about it, I couldn't fathom the loneliness. the lack of butterflies. emptiness.

i don't know. just random thoughts :]]

So, all is well with my niece.  She's got 4-6 weeks on crutches still, but the surgery went well and all. Thank God.

So, yesterday, I watched the Academy Awards...and I'm INCREDIBLY happy that slumdog millionaire won best picture :] and that heath ledger won for best supporting actor.  I couldn't be more pleased.

In other news, I've been listening to a lot of juanes and menudo lately.

on that note....

My niece has something called SCFE. I don't really quite grasp EXACLY what's going on...but she has to get surgery today. The only thing is, they have to find a random time to get her scheduled for one. So, if everyone could please pray that they find the time for her, that would be great.

Normally, I wouldn't write 2 blogs so close together...but I need something. I just got a call from my niece telling me that her sister is headed to the emergency room. I don't have many details right now, but I could really use some prayers.  Obviously for Sammy who is going to the hospital, but also for her sister Ashley, who is incredibly upset.  I'm sure the rest of the family needs it too. Thank you so much.
