Atomic Tom and Taking Back Sunday

1) The other night I went out and saw Atomic Tom at the Canal Room with Nate Campany. I had never heard Nate play before but I honestly thought his music was so beautiful that I could just sit and cry to it. I was really beyond impressed with his set and hope to see him play again soon. Atomic Tom was, as usual, the greatest band of all time. I took this amazing video with my phone, it's obviously the highest quality video out there, of members of Atomic Tom as well as Ben Romans doing... something... just watch you'll see.

2) The reason I was in NY this week was that I was helping to make a music video with the director that I intern for. It's a really amazing opportunity and I've met so many cool people through doing this. This video was for Taking Back Sunday and it involved the making of several large vats full of black slime (which consisted of glue, water, black food coloring and laundry detergent...). The entire process was such a blast and everyone had a lot of fun that day despite being awake for more than 24 hours and working for almost 21 hours straight. I think the best part of the day was when Eddie the guitar play had to sink himself into a trash can full of slime. He played a practical joke on everyone and didn't come back up right away. Everyone was kind of scared that he might have died in there. I'm really glad that he didn't. Here's a video of what Adam the singer looked like post-slime.
