Hey guys!

So I just wanted to put this out there...

Please don't take it personal if I write a song about you....seriously!

I write A LOT! As most songwriters do like 4-6 songs a week! So you could see how we run out of subjects to write about really quick.. I can only write songs about my life for so long until they become a little redundant... I mean how many songs can I write about breaking cell phones??? heehee

So often when my life is nice and drama free (just how I like it) i have to find inspiration else where. So I turn to my friends! AKA You guys! For example... one of my best friends is going through a break up! So I wrote a song about her relationship!!! Except I wrote it from the dude's perspective to her... It's called if you don't love me by now (check it out at myspace.com/ruthcollins) Anyway, I don't think she was happy about her relationship being exposed all over my myspace and at all of my shows... Hmmm

Last night I wrote another song about one of my other best friends relationship... hope she's ok with that...

Anyway my point is if I see you on a train or in the airport or at Starbucks or on the side of the road... and for some reason you spark inspiration and a song ends up being about you! Don't be mad! You never know what situation will spark a new song... Sometimes I even write songs about fictional characters... Like once a few years ago I wrote a song about two characters from the O.C. Seth and Summer... he was being a typical guy and it made me so mad I wrote a song about it!!! Wierd... I know! Speaking of new songs... I'm taking a poll.. what is your guys favorite song of the 4 new songs I put up on myspace page?? I would love to know what you guys think so I know if I'm on the right track!!! Therese said: Gonna Go Wrong For Me, and Country Girl Fairy Tail are aweosme. Love them. :) And I think it's okay to write about people, I'd be fine with it, as long as it's not bad. Hahaha.

I always had a dream growing up that someday I'd show up in a song. Use me anytime. All you are is honest and that could never hurt me. A different perspective is always appreciated. That is if you ever chose to write one about me. Not that you have....
