Hey everyone, I’m going to North Carolina State University this year and we were required to read a book entitled Three Cups of Tea. I admit it doesn’t exactly have the most exciting title in the world, but it is a fitting one. This book follows the life/mission of Greg Mortenson an ex-mountain climber turned philanthropist who promotes peace through building schools for underprivileged children in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Greg has been won countless awards for his book and has been nominated for the Noble Peace Prize for his efforts. I don’t want to give the story away and I don’t think I could do it justice by telling much to you about it so I’m simply going to have to say. GO READ IT! Greg is actually coming to NC State to talk about his book and raise awareness for his cause, and you can be sure you will find me there!
