I’m feeling extra hip about being involved in this whole One Love thing. I’ve never been able to get into an online community (except the one’s at TylerHilton.com, MySpace.com/TylerHilton, and…whatever the Facebook one is. Have I misspelled narcissism?) but THIS here...well, this is just cool. I’ve been reading the other blogs and feeling so connected! Since I don’t have plans on what I will say I will just see what comes out and what is coming out right now is a comment on Nate’s picture with a mustache. I am pissed off. I had no idea Nate was capable of such a growth and I’m wondering what reputation I had to precede me that caused him to shave it before we met. Bad move, Campany! Bad move… I’m starting a petition right here on The One Love to get it back. Print this out and have your friends sign it. He said I only need 7 signatures:

2.

Now, Cassie mentioned Facebook Gifts in her top 10 things of the day and, not knowing what that was, mistakingly read it as Facebook Lifts which I think I will re-name the action certain friends of mine have taken to remove The Face (I’m calling it that from now on) from their lives temporarily for fear of a Face addiction. I have two such friends. Facebook Lifts. Thank you, Cassie. By the way, “When I Was Your Age Pluto Was A Planet” is my favorite group on Facebook. Cassie, will you show me how to join that group? I want to be in it…
Well, I’ve got eggs on the stove and I like them undercooked when scrambled (holla!)…. (Not, hola, as in the Spanish word for hello, but Holla)…. (…as in holla at your boy…) so I want to talk about TH Books for Kids which is the charity that initially got me into this site. I’ve long thought about where my efforts, where the world is concerned, were best placed if I placed them just in one cause. I’ve always been really into reading, and have gotten many of my ideas and perspectives about the world and the people in it from books. They take time, they take patience. Books can take digressions about interesting things that you don’t have time to get in movies and blogs, for instance. Anyway, I’ve started this charity to get as many kids into reading as I can. That way they might find the answers to their own specific troubles and ideas of how to better their community much better than I could. If you might be thinking along the same lines as I, check out THBooksForKids.org for our annual events and projects. I’ll be back soon enough…eggs are done.
