Hello, good morning, how d'you do? What makes your rising sun so new?

Switchfoot: their entire discography is my therapy.
their music has helped me through countless times when i just feel like dropping everything and giving up. they're always what you'll find playing on my iTunes when i've stayed up 24 hours trying to get work done.
what's best is that their music isn't generic. instead of singing about breakups and relationships and all that usual stuff, they make music about living life in general, and going through all its ups and downs. one song (one of my favorites) is Learning To Breathe, a song about letting go and moving on, and another is Dirty Second Hands, a tricky song about Jon (the lead singer)'s bout with depression.
they're a bunch of good guys, too; no fan has ever come back from meeting them without saying good things about them. they're so eager and friendly, and so fun to be around. you can watch their podcasts here - careful though, those are addictive.
i'll continue to gush if i go on, so i'll just leave you with a few videos, and you be the judge.

Everyone I know
Needs love like drugs
Like a common cold
We could never shrug
My baby and me
We're missing the same stuff
We've all got a disease
Deficiency of love
